Let's probe some numbers.

3 * 6 = 18

1 + 8 = 9

9 is not divisible by 6.

Therefore, we have found a counterexample which proves that the original statement is false and we can conclude that it is not true that when any number is multiplied by 6 and the digits of the answer are added the sum will be divisible by 6.

Answer: false
