Sherwood Employees Donate More Over 500 Pairs Of Mittens and Gloves
For thousands of children and adults in Detroit, a single pair of gloves to protect their hands is a luxury they cannot afford. Shelters often distribute socks as makeshift mittens. Mittens for Detroit helps by providing over 50,000 pairs of new mittens and gloves to those who need them.
For the Holiday Season, Sherwood Food Distributors Detroit Division had a fundraising event to help Mittens for Detroit reach their goal.
The idea came from Chirs Urbain, who spearheaded the fundraiser and donated her time to Mittens to Detroit. With her help and the generous donations from our employees, we were happy to have donated 520 pairs of mittens and gloves to help Mittens for Detroit reach their goal.
Sherwood would like to thanks to all the employees who gave a helping hand to those in need for the cold winter months.
